# Launch Assortment Research — Sexual Wellness

**Research date:** 28 August 2026

## Executive conclusion

The first assortment should be built around **compact women's pleasure devices**, particularly mini/bullet/clitoral stimulators, then expanded into couples' devices and accessory-led bundles.

This is not because the category is automatically the highest-margin category. The evidence currently supports a stronger claim: it offers an unusually broad supplier base, very low MOQs for many SKUs, low unit acquisition prices, compact shipping characteristics and obvious opportunities for bundling/private label. Margin must be established after landed-cost, GST, payment, fulfilment, returns and marketing costs are modelled.

## Alibaba benchmark observations

Current Alibaba listings show:

- Bullet-vibrator listings with unit prices around US$0.70–$2.60 and MOQs as low as 1–10 pieces for numerous models.
- Clitoral-vibrator listings with examples around US$1.97–$4.14 and MOQs from 1–10 pieces, with some models at higher MOQs.
- A number of rose/clitoral products show supplier-reported sales ranging from hundreds to thousands of units, suggesting that the category has substantial marketplace depth.
- More sophisticated rechargeable/app-enabled products generally command higher factory prices and should be treated as a second-stage assortment rather than the initial inventory core.

These are live marketplace listings and supplier claims, not verified quotations. Every shortlisted SKU must be sampled and independently checked before purchase.

## Initial SKU architecture

### Tier A — test immediately

2. Couples / wearable devices
3. Rabbit-style dual-stimulation products
4. More advanced suction / air-pulse devices

## Supplier candidates for diligence

### Alibaba marketplace

Use Alibaba as the primary discovery and quotation marketplace. Current search results show a very deep supplier pool and numerous low-MOQ products.

### WINYI

Claims 11+ years of manufacturing experience, OEM/ODM and private-label support, with logo customisation for some existing models starting around 100 units. It states that materials and compliance support vary by product.

### VF Pleasure

Claims 15 years of manufacturing experience, OEM/ODM, low-MOQ private label, and product compliance such as CE/RoHS/food-grade silicone. Its current catalogue includes vibrators, couples' products and other adult-wellness devices.

### Baco Factory

Claims 12+ years of OEM/ODM experience, 300+ developed products and small-quantity mixed-item wholesale. Useful for supplier comparison and mixed-SKU test orders.

### AmorSerere Wholesale

States that mixed orders can start at 10 pieces per SKU and single-SKU orders at one carton, with logo/packaging/color customisation beginning at 100–200 units per SKU. Treat all certification and manufacturing claims as requiring documentary verification.

## Supplier due-diligence checklist

For every candidate supplier request:

- legal company name and factory address;
- business licence;
- factory audit evidence;
- product material specification;
- electrical/battery specifications where applicable;
- test reports and certificates relevant to the exact SKU;
- ISO 3533:2021-related safety documentation where applicable;
- RoHS / CE / EMC / RED evidence where applicable;
- battery transport documentation where applicable;
- sample price and shipping;
- MOQ for stock, logo, custom packaging and custom colour;
- lead time;
- defect/replacement policy;
- packaging dimensions and carton weight;
- HS classification proposed by supplier;
- Incoterms;
- payment terms;
- private-label IP/confidentiality terms;
- evidence of actual production rather than catalogue-only trading.

## Commercial scoring model

Score every SKU from 1–5 on each factor:

| Factor | Weight |
|---|---:|
| Gross margin potential | 20% |
| Initial cash requirement | 15% |
| Demand / volume potential | 20% |
| Bundle / cross-sell potential | 10% |
| Repeat purchase potential | 5% |
| Freight efficiency | 10% |
| Return / defect risk | 5% |
| Supplier depth | 5% |
| Private-label potential | 5% |
| Regulatory / claims risk | 5% |

The initial hero assortment should be the highest-scoring products after real samples and landed-cost modelling, not merely the cheapest Alibaba products.

## Next research phase

Build a 30–50 SKU longlist from Alibaba and direct factories. For each SKU capture supplier, MOQ, unit price at multiple volumes, dimensions, weight, materials, battery, certifications, sample cost, packaging options, lead time and estimated landed cost into India. Then purchase a small sample set and perform a structured quality assessment before committing inventory.
